Thanks for thinking about joining the crew at the State Theater! Working in a movie theater can be a blast, but it’s not everyone’s idea of a good time. Before you dive in, here are a few things to consider:
Do you enjoy people? Because you’ll be seeing a lot of them—ticket buyers, popcorn lovers, bathroom wanderers… the whole cast.
Are you cool with cleaning? Yes, you’ll sell popcorn and tickets, but you’ll also help make sure the theater (and the bathrooms) sparkle when the credits roll.
Nights and weekends: love them or leave them? We’re open when folks want to see movies, which means you’ll be working those times.
Action!… and then downtime. The job swings between “everybody wants popcorn right now” and quiet lulls between showtimes.
The movie biz has its seasons. Sometimes you’ll get lots of hours (hello summer blockbusters), and sometimes it’ll slow down (looking at you, mid-January).
If that all sounds fine to you, go ahead and fill out the application below—we’d love to hear from you!
